Itinerary

BY TRAIN

In the station of Brussels South (Brussel-Zuid/ Bruxelles Midi) you leave the station by the exit ‘Fonsnylaan’ and you immediately turn left, in the direction of the ‘Zuidlaan’ (small ringway). After about 500m you reach the Zuidlaan .You cross the street at the traffic lights (you cross the entire ‘Zuidlaan’). You now turn right. The Huidevettersstraat is the second street on the left.

 

BY CAR

From Ghent

• Take the E40 in the direction ‘Brussels’

• At the end of the highway go in the direction of the Centre ‘Centrum’

• At the Basilica of Koekelberg, take the tunnel under the small ringway. Choose the exit ‘Sainctelette’ .

• Cross the bridge of the Canal and turn left the Boulevard 9e Linie (past the Small Castle ‘Klein Kasteeltje’)

• Follow the small ringway until just before the crossover of the railway (station Brussels South is on your right)
   

• Get in the left-hand lane and turn left the ‘Stalingradlaan’. Take the first street on the right (Fr. Bassestraat).

• At the end of the road, turn right and immediately afterwards, turn left (the Lenglentierstraat)

• At the end of this street is the Huidevettersstraat.

Other possibilities in case of little traffic
 

• Take the E40 in the direction ‘Brussels’

• At the end of the highway go in the direction of the Centre ‘Centrum’

• At the Basilica of Koekelberg, take the tunnel under the small ringway. Choose the exit ‘Hallepoort’.

• You are now on the ‘Zuidlaan’. The Huidevettersstraat is on your right hand, just before the crossover.

From Leuven

• Take the E40 in the direction ‘Brussels’

• At the end of the highway go in the direction of the Centre ‘Centrum’

• Take the Reyers-tunnel. At the end of the tunnel you are in the Kortenberglaan, which you follow straight through until the small ringway where you turn left, into the tunnels. You follow this small ringway until you reach the ‘Hallepoort Tunnel’ (4th tunnel). When you have exited this tunnel, you go to the right at the first traffic roads (100m after you exit the tunnel).
   

• Afterwards, you turn left, on your left hand there is a parking lot. You can also just continue straight on and take the first street on the right, you are now in the Huidevettersstraat.
   

From Antwerp
 

• Take the A12 in the direction ‘Brussels’

• When entering Brussels (via Meise and Strombeek-Bever) you go in the direction of the centre (centrum)

• You pass the Royal Palace of Laken (on your left hand) and the Church of Laken (on your right hand)

• After passing the Church of Laken, take the tunnel and turn left at the traffic lights.

• You now follow the Canal (on your left hand). Turn left at the fork (there is a petrol station at this fork).

• You pass the Thurn and Taxis and the KBC (both on your right hand).

• At the ‘Sainctelette’, cross the small ringway and keep following the canal. You best cross the canal and follow it on the leftbank.
   

• You pass the refugee centre ‘’Klein Kasteeltje’ and continue straigth through (keep to the left at the junction) until you reach the ‘Zuidlaan”.
   

• Drive through under the railroad (the South railway station (Gare du Midi or Zuidstation) is on your right hand.
   

• Before reaching the first traffic lights after the railroad, get in the right-hand lane.

• Continue straight on and turn left at the next traffic lights (you now cross the ‘Zuidlaan’ all the way) and turn back into the direction you just came from.
   

• The next street on your right is the ‘Huidevettersstraat’.
